How I got here.
I didn't start in software. I spent eight years managing restaurants and a Starbucks, where the job was keeping a busy operation running smoothly. It turned out to be good training.
I moved into tech through customer support, then QA, while completing three certificates at BCIT. Testing taught me to think in edge cases and failure modes, and that habit still shapes how I build.
Since 2023 I've been a backend engineer at Prenuvo, building APIs in Python, FastAPI and PostgreSQL, with a focus on data integrity and systems people can trust.
Outside of code, I play a lot of volleyball, where my passing is a little less reliable than my APIs.
I also build fast, simple websites for small businesses.
